Ford C-max Energi and Hybrid break sales records

Ford is boasting about its C-max Hybrid and C-max Energi – combined sales of the C-max models have outsold the Prius plug-in and Prius V in the first full month the C-max Energi and Hybrid were available.

According to Ford, over 4,840 C-max Hybrids and C-max Energi plug-in hybrids were sold in November 2012, compared to 4,456 Toyota Prius vehicles.

The C-max Energi and Hybrid is a green car winner – and it’s no wonder it is selling so fast. With a combined EPA rating of 47 MPG, the C-max has the best rating in its class. The C-max Energi is rated even higher, with an EPA-estimated 108 MPGe in the City and 92 MPGe on the highway.

Some Ford dealers are so confident in the performance and value of the C-max Energi that they are buying Toyota Prius models so customers can do side by side testing on them. Ford Store Morgan Hill, in San Jose California, says not a single customer that comes in to look at the C-max prefers the Prius V after the test drives.

The 2013 Ford C-max Energi has been named the Official Car of the 2013 International CES.
